Outside it’s a blustery day. The surf is pounding in and the beach is deserted apart from a few hardy souls on a bracing walk and a couple of crazy surfers out beyond the break. A lone raven flies into the wind and along the water’s edge flocks of sandpipers scutter to and fro...

SAMPLE ITINERARY
This journey may be easily modified by adding extra days - or you may choose to start and end in Vancouver instead of Victoria. (Tofino is about 5 hours from Victoria and 6 hours from Vancouver.)
Day 1 - Arrive in Victoria
After checking into your hotel, relax and explore this most ‘British’ of British Columbia towns. Walk around the harbour and have tea at the Empress Hotel - or visit the city’s fascinating museum or world-famous Butchart Gardens. Overnight in Victoria
Day 2 - Travel to Tofino
Today you travel north and then west over the mountains of Vancouver Island to the picturesque - and remote - west coast village of Tofino. (For those taking the Standard hotel package your trip includes a journey by coach; for those in Superior or Deluxe a car rental is included.)
Originally a First Nations community and then a fishing village, Tofino has a laid-back feel - where millionaires, fishermen and hippy surfers happily co-exist. Set on a peninsula, surrounded by ocean and mountains, it is truly a special place. Enjoy a hot-bath and a great seafood dinner after your journey. Overnight in Tofino.
Days 3 & 4 - In Tofino
The next few days are your chance to unwind all the stresses of daily life. Take long walks along spectacular beaches or through the old-growth temperate rainforests , and return home to a hot bath and a roaring log fire. Best of all spa treatments are included in all our packages.
Day 5 - return from Tofino to Victoria
Rested and relaxed you return to Victoria for your flight home.
