ITINERARY

Day 1 – Arrival in Montreal - Your Canada Vacation Package Begins
Your Canada vacation begins in what is arguably Canada’s most sophisticated city, Montreal. Check-in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring on your own.

Day 2 – Montreal to Quebec City – 250 km
Climb into your rental car and leave dynamic Montreal behind for the history of Quebec City. Driving vacations in this stunning region of Canada follow the shores of the St. Lawrence River en route to Quebec City, the only walled city in North America. Spend the remainder of the day exploring the city.

Day 3 - Quebec City
Today, on your Canada vacation package, explore what lies behind the stone walls that encircle Quebec City. Stroll along the charming cobbled streets and narrow laneways for the best introduction to the city’s historic buildings and unique French culture. Sample traditional Quebecois cuisine at one of the many wonderful restaurants.

Day 4 – Visit beautiful Île-Aux-Coudres on your Canada Vacation – 115 km
You may choose to stop at the spectacular Montmorency Falls, the beautiful Ile d'Orleans, and the shrine at Ste. Anne-de-Beaupré before you travel to the mountainous area of the Charlevoix Region. A short ferry ride (specifics included in your package) across the famous St. Lawrence River delivers you to the tree-shrouded beauty of Île-aux-Coudres.

Day 5 – Île-Aux-Coudres to Saguenay Region (Via Tadoussac) – 255 km
A stop at Tadoussac - a UNESCO Heritage Site at the confluence of the Saguenay Fjord and the St. Lawrence River - is the perfect chance to stretch your legs. As you continue to drive along the shores of the Saguenay, stop at Sainte-Rose-du-Nord for a stroll on one of the lovely trails.

Optional Activity on your Canada Vacation Package:
Board a vessel in search of the largest mammals in the world - whales. The fin whale, the minke whale and the blue whale are annual visitors, while the elegant white beluga has made a permanent home in these waters.

Day 6 – Saguenay Region to St. Alexis-Des-Monts – 440 km
Quebec’s wild nature comes alive on driving vacations through these breathtaking landscapes. Stop at St. Alexis-des-Monts, a popular holiday area in Canada known for its scenic beauty. Located on the border of the Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve, the Sacacomie Lodge overlooks a majestic lake whose shore extends for more than 40 km and offers you the chance to try a number of fun activities or simply relax.

Day 7 – Explore St. Alexis-Des-Monts on your Canada Vacation Package
You have a full day to enjoy the picturesque surroundings at Sacacomie Lodge. There are activities for every energy level - forest walks, mountain biking, boating, canoeing, windsurfing and sailing or simply relax on the shores of the tranquil lake. Also available are river canoeing, seaplane flights, ATV-tours, fishing, waterskiing, diving, and golf (cost not included in package).
