On Canada hiking vacation packages you can hike as much or little as you want. Heli-hiking groups are created based on ability, so you can stay comfortably within your limits, or go beyond.
On some trips there are opportunities to try rock climbing on a beginner rock face, or join in on a full mountaineering day and reach the top of a peak. The helicopter helps you access everything the mountains have to offer, from high mountain ridges to beautifully flowered meadows. With 1,000 sq. km. (620 sq. miles) to explore around each lodge, there are always new sights to see.
On this Canadian Rockies hiking trip there are no trails, but the selected terrain is always walkable, with most of the hiking above tree line in order to maximize the views. With heli-hiking Canada vacations, you say hike and we say how high?

Days 3 - 5 - Heli-Hiking the Rockies on Canada Vacation Packages
Typical Day:
Your Canadian Rockies hiking holiday begins with a flight to a beautiful lodge, accessible only by helicopter. After being outfitted with all the equipment you'll need by your Canada adventure travel guide, you then fly to a spectacular mountain ridge to start your afternoon hike.
On Canada heli-hiking vacations hiking takes place between 1,828 metres (6,000 feet) and 2,438 metres (8,000 feet), which is a very comfortable altitude for most people. One of the greatest advantages of this Canadian Rockies hiking adventure is our ability to tailor the hikes to accommodate all abilities, regardless of age.
After your hike, which is as short or as long as you want it to be, you're flown back to the lodge for some of the best cuisine your eyes and taste buds have ever experienced.
On Canada heli-hiking vacations a typical night includes relaxing in the whirlpool, or sharing stories with new friends by the fire, then falling asleep under a down comforter in your room with private bath.
The next morning, you wake with a stretching class before breakfast, looking forward to more heli-hiking, more spectacular scenery, more fantastic food and the chance to take yourself higher than you ever thought you'd go. Challenge yourself on hiking vacation packages.
Day 6 - Return to Banff
After your last morning of heli-hiking adventure, return to the comfort and beauty of Banff. Overnight Fairmont Banff Springs.
Day 7 - Take to the Skies to Say Goodbyes
A perfect way to say goodbye to your Banff National Park adventure is by guided tour into the surrounding sights. This three hour bus tour sees you through the towering mountains of Rundle, Tunnel, Cascade, and Norquay, where you will learn about the natural attractions of the wind-shaped hoodoos and the Cave & Basin National Historic Site.
A gentle ride by gondola up to the summit of Sulphur Mountain treats you to spectacular views. Take lots of pictures at the top of this 360 degree panorama of the Bow Valley as this is the last stop on your Rockies hiking adventure.
Much too soon your hiking vacation comes to an end.
